It tells a darkly surreal story in the way each dynamic song feels like a chapter or scene from a David Lynch movie progressing you through to the grand final. I was convinced distorted guitar based music was dead until I discovered the new polish post black metal scene. Love everything I've heard from the top bands in this scene so far and look forward to discovering more. Favorite track: Ciało.

Following the monumental release of Nocel two years ago, Poland’s influential act Furia return with their fifth full-length, Księżyc milczy luty(roughly translates to “Moon Silent Severe”). The album is scheduled for release on 14 November 2016 via Pagan Records and contains six brand new tracks.

Those familiar with the sounds which Furia create will not be disappointed with Księżyc milczy luty. The album continues the band’s trademark “Nekrofolk” sound; however, the lyrical theme takes us to the moon this time. Anyone who claims that black metal may have lost its charm of originality should listen to Furia.

I happened upon Batushka by clicking on a suggested video on YouTube and Yekteniya 3 was the one that I heard first. From there, I was hooked. Yektoniya 3 constantly haunts me to the point where I have to get my daily/weekly fix of it. Overall the whole Litourgiya album is perfection from start to finish. I am enamored by it all from the chants to the harsh vocals to the energetic guitar playing to the thunderous drums. Excellent! Lanna E
