Very late to this, but I'm glad I found it. The very brand of melodic death/doom I savor so much. Soaring leads, haunting riffs, and melancholic vocals. Everything I hold dearest in music.

Bluesy black years ahead Z&A? A l'occasion un groupe BM blanc à 5 lettres tourne au calme, pour des raisons liées à l’élevage de saumon (Ulver, Manes, Myrkur, Le Splendide, ...). Netra conserve une forte composante extrême, ce qui rend le contraste clair-obscur d'autant plus fascinant. It is not uncommon for white BM bands to turn to calmer stuff, for some reasons involving salmon. Netra still provides a fascinating chiaroscuro. For fans of: Manes, Shinning (Nor&Swe), The Skaden, White Ward.

Through Twilight...

Winds of Sorrow est l'une des multiples facettes de l'artiste néo-zélandais Mort et aussi l'une des plus brèves puisque seul Through Twilight... naîtra sous ce patronyme. Mort part d'un bon concept, à savoir créer un doom metal/dungeon avec une emphase sur ce dernier, mais voit trop grand en visant le format de l'album alors qu'une démo était suffisante. Les atmosphères gothiques et parfois folkloriques sont envoûtantes mais couvrent trop une voix qu'on finit par oublier. Un album sympathique.
